End of War? Davido congratulates Wizkid, hails 2face

It seems talented Nigeria young superstars
Wizkid and Davido are ready to bury their
differences and move on in life.
The duo has been on collision , hitting out at
each other on the social media with their
respective fans spreading the hatred.
However, it seems they are now ready for
peace as Davido(David Adedeji Adeleke) bury
the hatchet and congratulated Wizkid(Ayodeji
Ibrahim Balogun) on the release of his new
album (Ayo). The Omo Baba Olowo (OBO)
crooner hailed Wizkid and Psquare on the
release of their albums (Ayo and Double
Trouble).
He tweeted “Congratulations to both P
SQUARE And WIZKID On their Album release
May God continue to bless y’all ! OBO”.
He also had a message for one of Africa
respected artiste, Innocent Idibia, who added a
year to his age today.
“Happy birthday @2faceidibia ! To a Great
man!!! Your music has healed the world!!”

I'm facing hard times - TB JOSHUA

Founder of the Synagogue Church of all
Nations, Prophet Temitope Joshua, says he
has been facing hard times since the collapse
of his church guesthouse in Lagos.
He, has however said that he would survive
the trying times.
A six-storey guesthouse belonging to the
church collapsed last Friday, killing no fewer
than 80 persons.
A message on SCOAN official Facebook page
quotes TB Joshua as saying that he would
not be “destroyed” by the incident.
“Hard times may test me, they cannot destroy
me,” TB Joshua said, adding, “To withstand
hard times, stand with Christ. When you face
trials, hard times, you can count it all joy if
you add faith.”
Quoting the Bible, TB Joshua appeared to be
reaching out to his thousands of followers
across the world via the social network, just
as he stated that God sometimes makes use of
hard times to “draw us to Himself.”
According to TB Joshua, God visits His people
with hard times because people often become
“proud and stupid with wealth and pleasure.”
He added, “It is through hard times that you
gain the necessary experience and maturity to
handle whatever responsibility given you. We
are most likely to go astray from God and
forget Him when things are easy with us in the
world because we often become proud and
stupid with wealth and pleasure.
“God visits His people with hard times that
they may learn His way. His ways, though
hard to the ungodly men, are desirable and
profitable because they lead us to safety unto
eternal life. God allowed the enemy to
overcome Israel so that they may learn the
difference between serving God and serving the
devil.
“If not for our hard times, we would not have
sought the face of God. I mean, if not because
of hard times, man by his wicked nature,
would not have sought the face of God. This
means, God sometimes uses hard times to
draw us to Him so that we can take our
proper position and possession in Him.
But despite his words of admonition, some
commentators appeared to be sore with the
popular televangelist.
A South African public affairs commentator,
Allan Taylor, expressed concerns over the
number his compatriots lost in the tragedy.
South African President, Jacob Zuma, on
Tuesday noted that in recent times, the
country had not witnessed the death of a
large number of her citizens in one incident in
a foreign land.
Taylor lamented that TB Joshua was allegedly
deceiving and luring South Africans to his
church.
Taking a swipe at TB Joshua, he accused him
of unfairly personalising the tragedy at the
expense of the “unfortunate victims.”
“I’m saddened by the death of up to 67 South
Africans in the Nigerian church collapse and
at the hands of TB Joshua’s greed. It is also
important to expose those who lured the
unfortunate victims to Nigeria on false
pretences.
“Innocent lives of people have been lost; yet
TB Joshua makes the tragedy about himself.
He is a disgrace,” the enraged South African
wrote on Twitter.
Another Bloemfontein-based South African,
Portia Tsotetsi, said TB Joshua owed the
families of her compatriots lost in the building
collapse some answers.
“My thoughts and prayers are with the
families of the 67 South Africans who lost
their lives in Nigeria. What bothers me most is
the silence of TB Joshua and his church
concerning the 67 who died.
“Where are messages of condolence? When is
the church (SCOAN) offering a statement of
condolences to the families? When is TB
Joshua speaking about this tragedy? What
bothers me is the amount of blind loyalists
who refuse to see facts. They will do anything
to protect their church,” Tsotetsi tweeted.
But a member of the church based in South
Africa, Neo Motlokoa, stated that her faith in
the Christian leadership of TB Joshua “is not
shaken” despite the criticisms that has
followed the church disaster.
“I am a South African who loves Jesus. This
morning every TV station and newspaper is
carrying the news about the tragedy.
“Has Prophet TB Joshua all of a sudden
become questionable to you? Is he still a
servant of Christ? This is about not only
SCOAN and the Prophet (TB Joshua). My faith
is not shaken,” Motlokoa wrote on the
church’s official Facebook page.
A Ghanaian follower of the clergyman,
Ebenezer Donkor, insisted that despite the
widespread criticism of TB Joshua, nothing
would keep him away from the church
“Even if another building collapses to kill one
billion people, I will still follow Christ through
Prophet TB Joshua. My faith is unshakable.
God bless the man of God and all those who
follow him,” Donkor said.

Jim Iyke - I am who i am

Bad Boy actor Jim Iyke feels people do not
understand him and has set the record
straight. Jim Iyke says he remains who he is
A lot has been said about Nollywood
» notorious actor, James Ikechukwu Esomugha popularly known as Jim Iyke » , but the bad boy of Nigerian movie industry does not care any longer what people say about
him. Jim seems to have grown a thick skin and do
not bother himself with hearsays and back
bitters; instead, he believes in who he is and
what he says. According to him, he says what
he feels and leaves the interpretation to
people to make what they think.
Jim who has been vilified, castigated and
thrashed on the social media over his several
actions, explained that it is human nature for
one someone to say something and others
would make any sort of meaning they want
but he feels he is who he is, and owes no one
any apology.
Jim took to his Instagram page to clear the
air about his person.
Read what he wrote here:
« I own my words but I owe people the
interpretation. Men dt wear their intentions on
their faces sometimes. As much as one might
have a good intention for their actions, his
action may seem parallel to his intention
depending on hw peo perceive it.
« As much as perception is good, when viewed
wrongly can lead to deception. Even tho wat
people
think about you may bear relevance, I am
what I think. #Introspection #InsideOut #

Cossy orjiaku - I've insured a couple of things and not my breast

Cossy Orjiakor has been in the public glare for
some time now and even though she is tagged
an actress, many of us only know her mostly
for her massive boobs that seem to keep
getting bigger and bigger.
Cossy is candid about most things but she
has never admitted going for plastic surgery to
make her boobs bigger, even denying earlier
reports that she insured her boobs for N256
million.
In her words; “I have insured a couple of
things, but not my breasts. Even if the breasts
sag after having children, I’ll rather go abroad
to have surgery or insure my breasts.
Insurance is a good thing but the fact remains
that you cannot get the money until
something goes wrong with the breasts”.
Cossy Orjiakor recently starred in Omogoriola
Hassan’s raunchy movie 1 million boys.

Ayo Oritsejafor admits ownership of cash-stacked private jet seized in SA

Yesterday there were reports that a private jet
was seized and two Nigerians were being
investigated for trying to smuggling $9.3
million in cash into South Africa (read here). It
turns out that the private jet the money was
found in belongs to the Christian Association
of Nigeria, CAN president, Ayo Oritsejafor via a
company he co-owns, Eagle Air. But in a
statement released today, Pastor Oritsejafor
said he had leased the jet to another company
so had no control over the use of the jet.
"On behalf of Pastor Oritsejafor, we can
confirm that although he holds an interest in
Eagle Air, the aircraft in question is not
operated by Pastor Oritsejafor. The aircraft
was leased to, and is operated by Green Coast
Produce Limited since August 2” a statement
from the church read.
Green Coast Produce Limited then released a
statement saying that the aircraft was hired
by one John Ishyaku and therefore they can't
be liable for any alleged infractions either in
Nigeria or South Africa after the hire.
“On the 5th of September 2014 the aircraft
was hired from us by a John Ishyaku. The
charter to John Ishyaku was upon the
following documented terms: (a) Depart
Abuja-Johannesburg on the 5th of September
2014 (b) Return to Abuja on the 6th of
September 2014 (c) To wait and return with
the passengers. All cargoes were accompanied
by passenger who could readily defend the
contents. We are not and cannot be privy to
any alleged extraneous cargo transported on
the aircraft other than that declared in the
agreed terms of hire. We are not liable and
cannot be construed as a party to any alleged
infractions, either in Nigeria or South Africa as
he case may be, after the hire of the aircraft."
the company said.
The private jet carrying the money, allegedly
meant for buying weapons, landed at Lanseria
International Airport, Johannesburg on
September 5. The money was loaded in three
suitcases but attracted suspicion when the
suitcases were scanned. The money and the
jet have been seized by SA customs pending
investigation.

School resumption date: Pres GEJ pleads with NUT, says fed.govt isn't foolish

Speaking with journalists today September
16th in Abuja, President Jonathan appealed to
members of the Nigerian Union of Teachers,
NUT to return to the classrooms on Sept. 22
as there is no known case of Ebola in the
country at the moment. Below is what he
said...
"We have been able to manage Ebola and
the whole world is happy with us and we
must tell the whole world that we have
managed Ebola and no Nigerian should be
segregated because of Ebola. In fact Osun
State was to have their festival and the news
came to me to cancel it I said no, Ebola is
no longer a threat in Nigeria and we must
tell the world that we have been able to
contained Ebola."
Yes, Ebola is in the West Coast, it could
happen in Ghana, it could happen in Senegal
or any of the West African countries or
beyond but they have not closed down their
institutions. If we still have Ebola definitely
we will not open any of our institutions but
we don’t have Ebola. I dare ask is
NUT saying that until the world is able to
end Ebola is Guinea, Liberia and Sierra Leone
before Nigeria should open our institutions?
It is not right. Government is not a fool, it is
not any labour body that asked us to take
that decision, we took it because we felt that
we must protect our citizens.
This is one government that discusses with
anybody that has issues to discuss. Even
NUT has no reason to threaten industrial
action because of Ebola, the governors took
that decision. I called all the governors of
the states to come with their commissioners
of health. On the day of that meeting I did
not even allow them to speak because they
will play politics. I asked all the
commissioners including the Secretary of
Health in Abuja, to brief us on the steps they
have taken and they listened to their
colleagues because it was also a peer review
process. If you are hiding certain things by
the time you hear your colleagues you will go
back and get things done.
We are sure that even if one mad Sawyer
comes again, nobody will contract Ebola. We
have managed Ebola very well, the world is
happy we must tell the world that no
Nigerian should be suspected of Ebola and
that is the position of government. I will
plead with NUT and other unions that this
does not require industrial action. They
should commend government, they should
work with us, they are Nigerians, all
Nigerians must work together to make sure
that we contain Ebola. Why do we want to
create problems where it is not necessary, it
is uncalled for.” He said

Man allegedly rapes his own daughter

The man you see in this pic is being accused
of sexually molesting his own 5 year old
daughter (pictured right). This happened in
the Italuwo community in Ikorodu Road,
Lagos. I don't have much details but
according to a source, a neighbour
suspected the man was assaulting the little
girl and alerted people in the area. When
confronted, he denied it but the girl
confirmed she'd been molested. He was
beaten and taken to the community security
post. This pic was taken as he was being
interrogated.

Synagogue building collapse: 45yr old woman walks out of rubble alive

A 45-year-old-woman today Tuesday
September 16th allegedly walked out alive
from the rubbles of the collapsed building at
the Synagogue Church of All Nations in
Ikotun, Lagos.
Ibrahim Farinloye, the PRO of the National
Emergency Management Agency, NEMA,
South-West Zone, told journalists in Lagos
that the woman walked out on her own at
2a.m very early today but the woman was
not identified.
"A woman of about 45 years old walked
out of the rubble on her own around
2a.m today. She was able to walk away
from the collapse with just a broken
wrist. 10 more bodies were recovered,
leaving 59 dead and 131 rescued alive,“
Farinloye said.
So far 59 bodies have been recovered and
Farinloye expect rescue workers to recover

Boko Haram reportedly abduct men and women in Adamawa state

Daily Trust is reporting that about 50 men
and women were abducted after an attack on
Gulak community in Adamawa state on
Saturday September 13th.
The residents of the community reportedly
confirmed that the attack took place and
people, including married women were loaded
into trucks and taken away.
Musa Uba, a resident of Husra village in
Michika LGA which is one of the villages that
came under heavy attack said able-bodied
young men were forcefully converted into the
sect after recruitment efforts through
preaching failed to attract volunteers.
“They conducted preaching sessions to
attract converts to their sect but people
only listened out of fear. The next day
they asked if anybody wanted to join
them but there was no response, so
they selected many healthy looking
young men and ordered them to follow
them. One of the victims is my relative
who did body building exercises
regularly,” he said.
